Through our partnership with the Diamondbacks, Avnet’s employee volunteering and charitable giving program, Avnet Cares, is committed to making a positive impact on the local community through three key programs:
READ YOUR WAY TO THE BALLPARK
Avnet Cares is a sponsor of the Diamondbacks’ Read Your Way to the Ballpark program, which is aimed at encouraging reading and literacy among students in grades K-6. Students earn prizes through reading goals, culminating with a ticket voucher as the final prize. Teachers can sign up for the program for free.
50/50 RAFFLE
Supported by Avnet Cares, the 2023 season 50/50 raffle raised $5.5M. Half the funds go to support youth baseball field development and sports outreach across Arizona. Current projects include the D-backs Give Back Youth Jersey Program, which provides high-quality uniforms and caps to baseball and softball players and their coaches.
STEM SCHOLARS
The Avnet Cares and Diamondbacks partnership will invest $1M over four years in STEM scholarships for Arizona college-bound STEM students. In partnership with St. Vincent de Paul, first-generation Arizona students in pursuit of a STEM field college degree can receive up to a four-year college scholarship.
